Broadcrown is able to fully replace any control system that has become obsolete or unreliable whoever originally manufactured the genset.
As designers and manufacturers of our own equipment for new generators, we are aware of new developments and how they may be applied and incorporated into any refurbishment. We have experience of the leading plc types - including GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens and Toshiba.
With both engines and alternators enjoying a long service life in standby equipment, it is the electronics and controls that continually evolve. Refurbishing the controls on a genset is a cost-effective way of extending the useful life of the set, and may even incorporate features and abilities that were not available when the generator was originally designed.
Work can be carried out on site or at Hixon, and includes items such as :
- PLC upgrades due to older units becoming obsolete.
- Governor system upgrades to allow synchronising / mains parallel operation.
- Synchronising systems to allow no-break return to mains operation.
- G59 / long term parallel equipment to allow exporting or peaking [load management] operations.
- Rewiring engines with pre-designed looms suitable for new panels.
- Upgrading of panel from keystart to remote start / auto mains fail function.
Taking advantage of today's controls technology need not be expensive. |
